Building Your Collection
1
Quick add: tap "From Photo"
Take a photo of a single watch or a whole collection flat-lay. AI identifies each watch, then pre-fills the add form with brand, model, and reference number. Review and save — the fastest way to build your collection.
2
Or add manually: tap "+ Add Watch"
Opens the add watch form. Fill it manually or use the URL fetch shortcut below.
3
Paste a product page URL and tap Fetch
Go to the brand's website (rolex.com, omegawatches.com, seikowatches.com…), open the exact watch page, copy the URL, and paste it in. Fetch fills in brand, name, reference number, and often pulls a photo automatically.
4
Fill in price, purchase date, and condition
These power the Cost-per-Wear metric in Stats. Purchase date is also used to sort your collection.
5
Add straps if the watch has more than one
Expand the Straps section. Add each strap (e.g. "NATO Black", "Oyster Bracelet") and toggle which is currently on the watch — the app will ask which strap you wore each time you log.
Tip: "From Photo" works great for a quick start — snap your watch box and add everything in one go. For the most accurate data, use brand website URLs (rolex.com, omegawatches.com…) with the Fetch button.
Logging a Wear
1
Go to the Track tab
The date defaults to today. Use the date field to log retroactively. The Today's Pick card suggests a watch based on your rotation — tap Log This Wear to log it directly.
2
Select the watch you wore
Watches are sorted by most recently worn, so the one on your wrist is near the top. Tap to select. If it has multiple straps, a strap picker appears — choose which one was on the watch.
3
Choose a use case and add notes (optional)
Work, Leisure, Dinner, or Travel — use cases power the wear-pattern charts in Stats. Notes are great for occasion details, outfit pairings, or quick impressions.
4
Add a photo and set visibility, then tap "Log This Wear"
Each log can be Public (visible to everyone), Followers (only your followers see it), Close Friends (only your close friends), or Private (only you). The default is set in your Privacy settings.
Logged the wrong watch or use case? Tap the pencil icon on any feed card or in the Wear History table to edit it.
Collection Features
Ranking Game
Tap Ranking Game in the Collection header for head-to-head match-ups. Tap the watch you prefer within 3 seconds. Elo scores accumulate over sessions so your ranking gets more accurate over time.
Tag Filtering
Add tags when editing a watch (Chronograph, Dress Watch, Diver…). Tag chips appear above the grid — tap one to filter, tap again to clear.
Market Prices
Enter a market value when editing a watch in the Market Pricing section. Price history is tracked over time so you can see how values change.
Per-Watch Privacy
On your profile page, tap any watch in your Collection showcase to cycle its privacy: Public → Followers Only → Close Friends → Private. Private watches are hidden from everyone else.
Post Pics
Toggle Post Pics above the collection grid to swap watch photos for your latest wrist shots. Each card shows the most recent post photo for that watch. Toggle off to go back to the standard watch image.
Wishlist
1
Add watches you want to buy
Paste a URL and Fetch auto-fills the details. Track asking price vs. current market price to spot the right moment to buy.
2
Drag to reorder your priority ranking
Grab the drag handle and drag items up or down. The #1 spot is highlighted in gold.
3
Share your wishlist with friends
Go to your profile → Privacy section → set Wishlist to Followers, Close Friends, or Public. Your followers can then see your wishlist on your profile — great for gift inspiration or comparing GAS lists.
Feed & Community
1
Follow or friend other collectors
Tap Find People in the Feed header. Follow anyone — their logs appear in your feed immediately. For Followers Only profiles you need to follow them first to see their collection and wishlist.
2
Post a photo — wear is logged automatically
Tap Post in the Feed header and add a wrist shot. AI identifies the watch from the photo and matches it to your collection. The wear log is added automatically — just tap "Not this watch" if it gets it wrong. You can also post text-only updates. Edit any post later to change the tagged watch, caption, or photo.
3
Like and comment on posts
Tap the heart to like any post. Tap the comment bubble to read and leave comments. You'll get a bell notification when someone likes or comments on your posts.
4
Notifications
Tap the bell in the top-right corner to see likes, comments, and follow requests. Tapping a like or comment notification opens the Feed. Tapping a follow request notification lets you accept or decline.
Tip: Pull down on the Feed to refresh. Swipe left or right anywhere to switch between tabs — works across the whole app on mobile.
To unfollow, go to their profile and tap Following → it turns red and asks Unfollow? — tap again to confirm.
Close Friends
1
Send a Close Friend request
On someone's profile, tap the Close Friends button (star icon) to send a request. Both of you must follow each other first.
2
Accept or decline
Close friend requests appear in your notifications bell. Tap Accept to become close friends or Decline to ignore.
3
Close Friends visibility
When logging a wear or posting, you can set visibility to Close Friends. Only people in your close friends circle will see that post.
Close friends is mutual — both people can see each other's close-friends-only content. To remove someone, tap the Close Friends badge on their profile.
Clubs
1
Create or join a club
Go to the Clubs tab and tap Create Club. Give it a name, description, and choose Public or Private. Public clubs allow anyone to join; private clubs require an invite.
2
Invite members
As a club owner, tap Invite Members on the club page to search for users and send invites. You can rescind pending invites at any time.
3
Club posts
When creating a post or logging a wear, select a club to share it with. Club posts appear in the club's feed and are visible to all club members.
4
Manage your club
Tap Manage on your club's page to edit the name, description, photo, and privacy. You can also remove members or delete the club.
Safety & Reporting
1
Report a post
Tap the three-dot menu (...) on any post and select Report. Choose a reason (inappropriate, spam, harassment, or other), add optional details, and submit. The content is immediately removed from all feeds while under review.
2
Report a comment
On someone else’s post, tap the three-dot menu and select Report — you’ll see the option to report the post or a specific comment. On your own post, tap the pencil menu and select Report a comment to flag a comment left by another user.
3
Block a user
Tap the three-dot menu on a post and select Block user, or go to their profile and tap Block. Blocked users won’t appear in your feed and cannot interact with your content. You can manage your block list from your profile page.
4
What happens after a report
Reported content is hidden from feeds immediately. An admin reviews every report and either confirms the removal or restores the content. Repeated violations may result in account suspension.
By using WRotate you agree to the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. We have zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour.
@Mentions
Mention someone in a comment or post
Type @ followed by a username in any comment or post. A dropdown will appear with matching users — tap one to insert the mention. The mentioned user will receive a notification.
Profile & Privacy
1
Edit your profile

2
Privacy section — always visible on your profile
Below your edit form you'll find a Privacy card with pill selectors for your privacy settings. Changes save instantly — no Save button needed.
3
Profile visibility
Public — anyone can view your profile and follow you. Followers Only — only people who follow you can see your full profile. Private — hidden from search; no one can view your profile. Changing visibility does not remove existing followers.
4
Collection & Wishlist visibility
Set each independently: Public shows it to anyone who views your profile, Followers shows it only to your followers, Close Friends shows it only to your close friends, Private keeps it hidden from everyone. Wishlist is private by default.
5
Default Post Visibility
Also in the Privacy section — new wear logs and posts default to this visibility (Public, Followers, Close Friends, or Private). You can override it per post when logging.
6
Email Notification Preferences
Expand the Notifications section on your profile to control email alerts. Toggle each category independently: likes & follows, comments, mentions, club activity, and friend requests. Changes save instantly.
7
Recent Posts grid
Below your collection, a 3×3 photo grid shows your latest posts and wears. Photo posts display the photo, wear logs show the watch image, and entries without images show watch initials. Tap any cell to jump to that post in the feed.
Measure Accuracy iOS APP
1
Go to the Measure tab
Select the watch you want to measure and its beat rate (BPH). Leave BPH on Auto if you’re not sure — the app detects it automatically.
2
Place the watch on the microphone
Place the watch touching the iPhone microphone (bottom edge, next to the charging port). The caseback should face the mic. Keep still during measurement.
3
Tap Measure and wait for convergence
Dots appear on the scatter chart as ticks are detected. A preliminary rate shows within seconds, then refines until it converges (usually 30–60 seconds). The signal bars in the bottom-left show how strong the signal is.
4
Save or enter manually
Once converged, tap Save to record the reading. You can also enter a rate manually in the Accuracy section of the watch edit form if you measured with an external tool.
Tip: Measure in a quiet environment for best results. Watches with display casebacks (transparent backs) produce a stronger signal than solid steel cases.
